Abstract:
Letters written by Priestley when travelling to and from the Philippines and when teaching there. The letters provide a detailed
narrative of ocean voyage from California via Hawaii, as well as later travels in Japan, China, Macao, and Hong Kong. Most
letters were written to the author's mother, Sarah Parker Priestley (1843-1904). Includes typed transcriptions of most of
the letters.
